Utopia?

Utopia. Everyone thinks that the idea of abolishing harmful sexual prejudices is a utopia – a pipe dream. It’s as if someone were to raise the problem of bad weather in a particular place and suggest that we change the weather instead of adapting to it. However, we can’t really compare these things. SEXUAL PREJUDICES, being the culprits behind many people’s misfortunes, are an ARTIFICIAL, intrusion into human nature, comparable to poaching. WEATHER IS A NATURAL PHENOMENON. By saying that it is unrealistic to change the weather and contrasting this with the absolute reality of abolishing sexual prejudices that diminish people’s quality of life, I do not claim that accomplishing the latter is easy. All reforms begin with the skepticism of the majority – with disbelief in the prospect of the event.

But here’s the VERY IMPORTANT thing: The false sense of utopianism of an idea often makes people stop wanting to implement it. Thus, they choose the principle: “If you can’t change the situation, change your attitude toward it.” The brain gives the go-ahead to do nothing because it is certain that nothing can be changed.
